The warning
Don't invest unless you're prepared to lose all the money you invest. This is a high-risk investment and you should not expect to be protected if something goes wrong.
This is the warning the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) requires on promotions of cryptoassets, in its own words. Decryptr does not sell or promote cryptoassets, but what you see here is about them, so the same warning applies to you. You will see it in the app and on this website on screens that show trades, scores, performance or AI market commentary.
Not financial advice
Nothing in Decryptr is investment advice or a recommendation to buy, sell or hold anything. That includes prices and charts, news, scores, win rates and profits, leaderboards, alerts, Levels results, and anything written by our AI or by another user. It is information and opinion, and decisions about your money are yours.
We do not know your circumstances, your goals or how much you can afford to lose, and we do not take them into account. If you want advice, speak to an adviser authorised by the FCA.
Not regulated
Decryptr Limited is not authorised or regulated by the FCA, and is not authorised to give investment advice. We are not a broker, an exchange or a wallet: we do not hold your money or your cryptoassets and we do not place trades. Where you link a wallet or an account, we only read from it.
Most cryptoassets are unregulated in the UK. If something goes wrong, for example an exchange fails or you are defrauded, you are very unlikely to be covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme or able to complain to the Financial Ombudsman Service.
Crypto is high risk
- You could lose all the money you invest. Prices can fall sharply and quickly, sometimes to nothing.
- Prices swing hard. Moves of 10% or more in a day are common, and a small or new token can move much further.
- You may not be able to sell when you want to. Some tokens have few buyers, and exchanges can halt trading or withdrawals.
- Platforms fail and get hacked. Exchanges and protocols have collapsed or lost customers' money, and a mistake sending crypto usually cannot be undone.
- Things are hard to check. Many tokens have no reliable information behind them, and a token can be built to trap the people who buy it.
Do not put in money you cannot afford to lose, and do not borrow to invest.
Leverage and liquidation
Many of the trades you will see on Decryptr, including the Hyperliquid positions on the leaderboards, use leverage on perpetual futures. Leverage multiplies losses as well as gains. A small move against a leveraged position can liquidate it, and the whole margin is lost, often in minutes.
The FCA bans the sale of crypto derivatives, such as futures, to retail customers in the UK. Decryptr showing these positions is not an offer of them and not a suggestion that you trade them.
Past results do not predict future ones
A trader's win rate, a profit and loss card, a streak, a scored call or a winning Levels round tells you what happened. It tells you nothing reliable about what will happen next. Good runs end, sometimes because of luck rather than skill, and the people at the top of a board today are often not the people there next month.
Scores, leaderboards and top traders
Decryptr scores calls so that claims about trading can be checked, not so that you will follow anyone. A score measures how accurate a call was against what the market then did. It is not a rating of the person, a measure of how much money anyone made you, or a recommendation to do what they do.
- Sealed calls and Levels are scored by our software against market prices. A good score means the call was right that time, nothing more. Levels is a free game: nothing is staked and nothing is paid out.
- Top traders and Wallet Tracker rank public wallets on results read from the blockchain. Tracking a wallet lets you watch it. It does not copy its trades, and Decryptr never places trades for you.
- Verified results, such as linked accounts and prop firm certificates, confirm where a record came from. They do not make the trader any less risky to follow.
Rankings can be wrong or gamed despite our checks, and the results shown may leave out fees, funding, other accounts and trades that were never shared.
What other people post
Posts, replies, messages, calls and profiles are the opinion of the person who wrote them, not of Decryptr. We do not check that they are true or that the person knows what they are talking about, and some people say things because they hold the asset and want its price to rise.
Promoting investments, paid shilling and signals groups are against our terms and community rules, and we remove them when we find them or are told about them. If you see one, please report it.
AI answers and the AI coach
Ask Decryptr, the AI coach in Decryptr X, AI summaries of news and the other AI features are generative software. They can be confidently wrong, misread a chart, leave out what matters or make things up. They do not know your circumstances and they are not an adviser.
The AI coach writes about your own verified trades. Its figures are computed from your fills, but what it makes of them is the AI's reading of what you did, not an instruction for what to do next. Check anything that matters before you act on it.
Market data and news
Prices, funding, open interest, whale trades, news and blockchain data come from exchanges and other third parties. They can be late, incomplete or wrong, and services go down. News and whale trades reach Free accounts 5 minutes after they land and Decryptr + 1 minute after; Decryptr X sees them live. Even live, the market may already have moved.
Liquidations, alerts and the prop rule guard
These Decryptr X tools help you see risk. They do not manage it for you, and none of them will close, change or protect a position.
- The liquidation heatmap and levels are built from the real positions Decryptr tracks. They are not every position in the market, they change all the time, and the price does not have to stop at, or reach, any level shown.
- Liquidation alerts use the liquidation price your venue reports for your own positions and the clusters we track. A push notification can arrive late, or not at all: your phone, your settings, your connection or our servers can all stop it. Never rely on an alert to save a position.
- The prop rule guard tracks a daily loss limit and a maximum drawdown from the limits you enter for each prop account and the data the account shares. Your firm's own rules and its own calculation decide whether you have broken a rule, and they may differ from ours.
- Price alerts and other notifications can likewise be late or missed.
Scams
Crypto attracts fraud. Be wary of anyone who promises guaranteed or high returns, offers to trade for you, pushes you to act quickly, or asks you to move money to a new platform. Decryptr will never ask for your recovery phrase, your private keys or your password, and nobody legitimate ever will.
Tax
Profits from crypto may be subject to Capital Gains Tax or Income Tax. Decryptr does not give tax advice, and figures in the app are not a tax calculation.
