The plans
| Plan | Monthly | Yearly | AI credits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | Free | Free | 50 a month |
| Decryptr + | £8.99 | £85.99 | 500 a month |
| Decryptr X | £19.99 | £191.99 | 2,000 a month |
Prices are in pounds for the UK. In other countries the App Store and Google Play show the price in your own currency before you buy. What each plan includes is set out in full on Plans, and the price, the period and what you get are always shown again on the screen where you pay.
Decryptr X includes everything in Decryptr +. Nothing in either plan is investment advice (see the risk warning).
Where you buy decides who bills you
You can subscribe in three places. It is one plan on your account wherever you buy it.
- In the app on iPhone: Apple takes the payment and its terms apply alongside ours.
- In the app on Android: Google Play takes the payment and its terms apply alongside ours.
- On decryptr.ai: Decryptr Limited sells it to you and Stripe takes the payment. Your card details go to Stripe, never to us. Decryptr X may not be on sale on the website yet; where it is not, the plans page says so.
Cancelling, changing plan and refunds go through whoever billed you. Do not subscribe a second time somewhere else: you would pay twice for one plan.
The free trial
Accounts that have not had a paid plan before can try Decryptr + or Decryptr X free for 7 days, once. The screen where you subscribe says when your account qualifies, and the stores apply their own rules about who is new.
You are not charged during the trial. When the 7 days end, the plan you chose starts and you are charged its full price, unless you cancel first. In the App Store and Google Play, cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends to be sure you are not charged. On the website, cancel any time before it ends.
If you subscribe to Decryptr + through the App Store, the app may offer you a free week of Decryptr X, once. It works the same way: when the week ends, Decryptr X renews at its monthly price unless you cancel before then.
Automatic renewal
Every plan renews automatically at the end of each month or year, at the price then in force, and you are charged again, until you cancel.
The App Store and Google Play charge the renewal in the 24 hours before the period ends, so turn renewal off at least 24 hours before if you do not want another period. On the website, Stripe charges on the renewal date.
How to cancel
- iPhone: open the Settings app, tap your name (Apple Account), then Subscriptions, then Decryptr, and Cancel Subscription. In Decryptr: Settings, Plan, then Manage in App Store takes you to the same place.
- Android: open Google Play, tap your profile picture, then Payments & subscriptions, Subscriptions, Decryptr, and Cancel subscription. In Decryptr: Settings, Plan, then Manage in Google Play.
- Website: sign in, open Plans and press Manage subscription. That opens Stripe's page for your subscription, where you can cancel, change your card and download receipts.
Deleting your Decryptr account cancels a website subscription straight away. It does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription: cancel that in the store first, or you will go on being charged.
What happens when you cancel
Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep your plan until the end of the period you have already paid for, then your account moves to Free. Cancelling during a free trial ends the plan when the trial ends, and you pay nothing.
Moving to Free does not delete your account, your posts or your journal. Free's limits then apply, for example to how far back your journal goes and how many alerts and linked wallets you can have.
Moving between Decryptr + and Decryptr X
- Up to Decryptr X starts straight away. On the website, Stripe charges the difference for the rest of the current period. Google Play charges a prorated price for the rest of the period. The App Store starts the new plan at once and refunds the unused part of the old one.
- Down to Decryptr + starts at the end of the period you have paid for. You keep Decryptr X until then and are not charged twice.
- Monthly to yearly, or back, takes effect at the next renewal.

Your 14-day right to cancel
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, when you buy digital content or a digital service online you normally have 14 days to change your mind and get your money back.
A Decryptr plan starts as soon as you buy it, and the right ends once supply of digital content has begun if you agreed to it starting straight away and acknowledged that you would lose the right. On the website, that is the tick box beside the subscribe button: you cannot subscribe without it. In the App Store and Google Play, Apple and Google handle this under their own terms when you buy. If you subscribed without agreeing to that, the 14-day right still applies: tell us within 14 days and we will refund a website purchase, or support your refund request to Apple or Google.
This does not affect your other rights. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 what you pay for must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. If it is not, you are entitled to have it put right, or to some or all of your money back.
Refunds
- App Store: Apple decides refunds, not us. Ask at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Google Play: ask Google through Google Play. If Google sends you to us, email us and we will look at it.
- Website: email [email protected] from the address on your account. A refund goes back to the card you paid with, through Stripe.
Outside the 14-day right and your rights when something is faulty, we do not refund part of a period you have started, for example because you stopped using Decryptrhalfway through a month. Cancel and you keep it to the end of the period.
When a payment is refunded in full, the plan it paid for ends straight away. A partial refund does not change your plan.
AI credits and credit packs
Every plan comes with AI credits for Ask Decryptr and the other AI features: 50 a month on Free, 500 on Decryptr + and 2,000 on Decryptr X. The allowance refills each month, and what is left over does not roll over.
In the app you can also buy a credit pack of 300, 800, 2,000 or 5,000 credits, through the App Store or Google Play. A pack is a one-off purchase, not a subscription. Its credits are added on top of your monthly allowance and do not expire.
Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred, sold or exchanged. Credits you have used cannot be given back. If the store refunds a pack, we take that pack's credits off your balance, from the top-up credits first and never below zero.
Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails, the store or Stripe tries again for a short time, and you may keep your plan while it does. Google Play gives a 3-day grace period. On the website, Plans tells you if your last payment did not go through, and you can update your card in Manage subscription. If the payment still fails, the plan ends and your account moves to Free.
Price changes
We may change our prices. A new price never applies to a period you have already paid for.
If the price of your plan goes up, you will be told before you are charged the new price, and you can cancel before it applies. In the App Store and Google Play, Apple or Google tells you, and where their rules require it they ask you to agree to the new price; if you do not, the subscription ends at the end of the period. On the website, we email you before your first renewal at the new price.
If you were paying before Decryptr X
Decryptr X launched on 13 October 2026. Every account that had a paid plan at that moment keeps all of Decryptr X's features for 12 months, at no extra cost and without changing what it pays. After the 12 months, the account keeps the plan it pays for.
When buying is paused
At times, for example before Decryptr's public launch, we may pause new purchases. While buying is paused, the buttons say Coming soon, nothing can be bought and you are not charged. Nothing anyone already has is taken away.
Free periods and tips
Some periods of Decryptr + are given rather than bought: a Levels prize, or a month for inviting a friend under the referral terms. They end on their own and never turn into a paid subscription.
In the app you can leave a tip. A tip is a gift: it buys nothing and adds nothing to your account, and refunds are handled by Apple or Google like any other store purchase.
