How a trade works
Open a Logged trade by picking a coin and a side, long if you expect it to rise, short if you expect it to fall. A stop and up to five targets are optional. The server sets the entry at the live price at that moment, and the time with it.
While the trade is open, every change to its stop or targets shows on its timeline with the time it was made. Closing it takes one tap, at the live price, and the result is stored with the trade.
- Logged: entered in the app, entry price and time stamped by the server.
- Verified: read from a linked wallet, exchange or prop account, with the venue's own fills.
- Attach any trade to a post. An open trade stays live in the post and shows its final result once it closes.
Why trades are different from posts
A post that says a coin will go up is easy to forget when it does not. A trade has a stamped entry, a timeline and a result, so you can see how someone has done before you read what they say next.
Logged and Verified trades sit in separate ports on a profile and are never blended into one number. Each port can be shown or hidden, and hidden ports still count in the headline figures, so a bad stretch cannot be tucked away.
Read the trades on any coin
Every coin has a page with its live price and the latest trades from traders on Decryptr, for example $BTC, $ETH and $SOL. Signed out you can read the top of each page; an account opens the full conversation and lets you log your own trades.
